Stellantis, in Turin over 700 students discover the professions of the future

TORINO (ITALPRESS) – Over 700 students and third-media students, from seven Turin schools and accompanied by about 100 teachers, participated today at the Heritage Hub in Turin at the Future Days 2026, the orientation path to the STEM disciplines supported by Stellantis Philanthropy and realized with Next Level.

A whole day, we read in a note, dedicated to listening, discovering and comparing, designed to help children learn more about the professions of the future and to address with greater awareness the choice of the course of studies. The first part of the event saw the protagonists of the students, who asked their questions to John Elkann, President of Stellantis, Emanuele Cappellano, Head of Stellantis activities in Europe, European brands and Pro One, Santo Ficili, Head of Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands, and Paola Baratta, Head of the Battery Technology Center in Mirafiori.

Dialogue has dealt with central issues for the future of new generations, from skills to technology, from artificial intelligence to business spirit, to the value of relationships, the ability to adapt and the courage needed to build their own path. For Santo Ficili the meeting also had a personal meaning: among the participating institutes was in fact present the middle school that had attended by boy, a concrete testimony of how the path started between those benches can lead to first-class professional experiences and responsibilities.

Seven pairs of students, representing the schools involved, brought questions from the course in class on stage. The direct comparison with management has allowed us to connect aspirations, interests and subjects of study to the skills required by an evolving sector, showing that behind each product and every technology they work different professionalism, united by the ability to collaborate and continue to learn.

“The future of our country is built by offering young people the tools and confidence to recognize their talent. With the Future Days we want to approach the school to the world of work, show girls and boys how many ways they can walk and encourage them to choose with curiosity and courage. It is a responsibility that Stellantis feels towards the territories in which they work and the communities that live there,” said John Elkann.

“In a rapidly changing world, technical preparation is fundamental, but alone is not enough. We need curiosity, listening skills and willingness to play with others. No important project arises from the work of one person: for this reason I hope to find good allies along their path and to become, in turn, a point of reference for those who will meet”, said Emanuele Cappellano.

After the Plenary Session, students have been tested through experiential activities organized in places where innovation, research, design and production form: Heritage Hub, Centro Ricerche Fiat, Centro Stile, Circular Economy Hub, Competitive Benchmarking and Battery Technology Center.

The program also included initiatives dedicated to road safety with Fiat Mickey Mouse and awareness against bullying with Citroën AMI. Visits, demonstrations, practical tests and meetings with Stellantis professionals have allowed young people to get in touch with different disciplines and crafts, including as scientific knowledge, creativity, digital skills and manual skills contribute to the development of mobility.

The direct involvement of the professionals of the Company has transformed the working spaces into orientation places, in which students could observe processes, tools and technologies and, above all, know the people who use them every day. A concrete approach that approaches school and business and helps to make more recognizable professional opportunities often still little known to younger people.

Orientation, inclusion and valorisation of merit In the afternoon, the 700 students joined the children of Stellantis employees engaged in middle schools, who participated in a mentoring and comparison experience with professionals of the Company, organized around seven thematic areas. Through meetings in small groups, the boys were able to know different training paths and professional experiences, ask questions and reflect on their aspirations in an open and informal context.

The day ended with a dialogue session with John Elkann and Stellantis leaders dedicated to training choices, personal growth and future opportunities, followed by the Stellantis Student Awards 2025. The award was awarded to 48 students for the academic results achieved, emphasizing the value of commitment, merit and continuity in the study. 10 of the winners also wanted to participate in the whole day, to experience an awareness of the situations of the communities in which they live and work.

The Future Days are part of the Stellantis Philanthropy programme, which brings together the Company’s initiatives dedicated to education, inclusion and community development. The project, created with Next Level, aims to combat school dispersion and to accompany girls and boys in the discovery of STEM disciplines and related professional opportunities, bringing together schools, territories and the world of work.

Through orientation paths, field experiences and opportunities for comparison with professionals and managers, the initiative aims to help make young people more aware of their skills and possibilities that can build through the study. The Turin stage opens the national calendar 2026. By November, other Future Days events will be organized in Italy in the territories in which the Stellantis plants are present, continuing the path of listening, guidance and closeness to local communities.

“The Future Days are a great opportunity for girls and boys from middle schools, because in these three years they can discover, learn and understand a lot: they can approach the world of work, know the many opportunities that await them and experience in the first person different tools, especially those related to the world of science.” This was said by the president of Stellantis, John Elkann, at the end of the Future Days 2026 in Turin.

“When I was at middle school, my professors and my companions helped me a lot – he continued -. I learned a lot from mathematics to history, but above all I discovered the value of teamwork. With my friends, we did a lot of work together, comparing and helping each other. And that’s exactly what I like about this initiative: you learn by doing, but above all you learn together. I think the most important thing about experiences like this is what they leave you in time: curiosity, the desire to understand, to know and to learn. This is exactly the stimulus I hope will remain to these guys and girls. I hope that in ten years they still have the same curiosity and the same desire to discover that we see in them today”.

“Today it was really nice to see the enthusiasm of the boys and listen to what they learned in these years – he reiterated -. I was also impressed by the awareness that they have acquired their abilities and the many possibilities they have ahead. Their questions were very much addressed to tomorrow and this, in my opinion, is a beautiful sign of optimism. I think the best ambassadors of this experience will be the boys and girls who lived it. Seeing their participation and their involvement makes me think they will be able to transmit this energy to those who will come after them. The future belongs to those who have curiosity, to those who want to learn, to play and create new opportunities. They need so much desire to understand, to do and, above all, the courage to try to build something new. What I bring home from this day is above all the great vitality of these guys, the desire to participate and a beautiful group spirit. Seeing 700 girls and boys together, so involved and capable of transmitting all this energy, it was for me a really special moment”, he concluded.
