ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Develop and promote new initiatives to support the internationalization of Italian companies in the world. With this objective, SACE (the Export Credit Agency participated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance) and Confapi (Italian Confederation of Small and Medium Private Industry) signed a collaboration agreement that puts joint actions to support business development paths on foreign markets.
The agreement, signed today by the CEO of SACE Michele Pignotti and the President of Confapi Cristian Camisa, reads in a note, previews “the realization of targeted initiatives and joint promotional events – such as the national roadshow promoted by Confapi in collaboration with SACE, CDP and SIMEST – aimed at promoting access to SACE insurance and financial instruments to protect international risks, strengthen competitiveness and support markets”.
The agreement also provides for “the development of joint business matching initiatives aimed at bringing together companies associated with Confapi with selected foreign buyers according to the purchasing needs and the production offer of the Confapi members”.
Finally, Confapi will provide its support in the identification of clusters of enterprises, districts and production chains – including the respective Champions and companies belonging – with respect to developing targeted initiatives. SACE will support associated companies through dedicated financial instruments, advisory services for managing supply risks and pilot internationalization projects for sectoral clusters, in coordination with the territorial networks of Confapi.
“Today, as never before, exporting is fundamental to support growth, but there is a need for tools that help businesses select opportunities, support competitiveness and protect themselves from risks – said SACE CEO Michele Pignotti –. We are pleased to strengthen our collaboration with a reality like Confapi, which represents so many SMEs of our production fabric and which with us pursues the goal of supporting the competitiveness and value of Made in Italy in the world. Today’s agreement supports the objectives of our Strategic Plan SACE50 with which we aim to strengthen our system collaborations, to maximise the concrete impacts of our action on the territories and on the economy.”.
“The agreement with SACE consolidates a synergy that over the years has already produced concrete results and that today makes a further leap of quality” – said the President of Confapi, Cristian Camisa -. “The collaboration between Confapi and SACE has never interrupted: already in 2026, in view of the formal renewal of the Protocol that we subscribe today, we continued to organize joint initiatives on the territories, with nine stages already realized and five other planned in the next autumn. A path that confirms the value of making system and proximity to industrial SMEs. In an increasingly complex international context, SACE’s support is a key tool to strengthen competitiveness and accompany businesses in internationalisation and growth on foreign markets.”.
