GENOVA (ITALPRESS) – There are places that, for a few days, can become a meeting point between different ideas, people and visions. It is what will happen on 18 and 19 September with Portofino Talks, when the Ligurian village will return to a real “plant on the world”. Two days of meetings, interviews and round tables in the famous Piazzetta of Portofino.
Organized by Philia Associates with the Municipality, the event will bring together representatives of the Government, institutions, entrepreneurs, managers, journalists and protagonists of culture and sport to discuss the great challenges of Italy and Europe: economy, health, energy, infrastructure, technology, artificial intelligence and much more.
To tell the initiative, within the framework of Power Talks – editorial format born from the collaboration between Italpress and Philia Associates -, Jessica Nicolini together with Giovanni Toti, Paolo Liguori and Andrea Ruggeri, partner of Filii. “For two days, as we did last year, who wants can obviously come because it is in a square, but in that square there will be all the protagonists of politics, economy, enterprise, society,” explained Toti.
“We will address the themes that you feel every night in the news, but that really affect the lives of Italians, families, businesses, the ability to grow, the occupation of our children, in short, everything that obviously concerns the country,” said Toti.
The event will involve, among others, those who produce and transport energy, those who deal with safety and environment and those who invest and experience new technologies of artificial intelligence. “To make communication, we are a communication society, means to put gasoline in the growth of the country. If the country grows, we are all better,” said Toti.
For Paolo Liguori, the appointment arrives at a stage in which “it is a subjugated world, but perhaps more than all we are in subjugation, because it is not the growth only of Italy, but also the explanation of Italy”. “Portofino is a bit of a symbol, but above all it must be explained because Italy has this ability to produce an elegant manufacturing, a fine manufacturing”, added Liguori, underlining the need for solid institutions: “Without institutions there is no democracy.”.
Andrea Ruggeri explained that the goal is to put in contact who every day is in the field to work and invoice for Italy with who decides which route Italy must take”. “We carry out a function, we say, of substitute and we compare ideas and protagonists of what can be the great Italy,” he said.
For Toti, Portofino Talks can promote the comparison between realities that often struggle to dialogue. “We have a network of many very solid companies, very capable and very valid, as Paul said, but they often do not find the channels to talk, to put themselves together, to build projects,” explained Toti. “It is an opportunity to meet, compare, propose and exchange between those who produce and who must decide on the head and the lives of those who produce,” said Ruggeri.
The initiative, he added, will also be accompanied by moments of sociality and fun. There will be energy, health, broadband, politics and Europe at the centre of the edition. “We talk every day of the health waiting lists, the fact that it is increasingly difficult to take care of”, Ruggeri observed, explaining that the possibilities of collaboration between the public and the private will also be addressed. “We decided to focus everything right in that square to give it even greater emphasis than last year,” Ruggeri explained. The goal is to create “a space in more than one comparison” and to foster relationships destined to last over time. The appointment is set at the Pier Umberto I and in the square of Portofino.
