ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In the second quarter of 2026 GDP increased by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter and 1% compared to the second quarter of 2025. Istat notes this, which confirms the estimates of the conjunctural and tendential variation of the GDP of the second quarter of 2026, as well as the variation acquired for the year 2026, released on the occasion of the preliminary estimate of the end of July.
On the side of the offer, Istat notes, “a decline in the added value of agriculture (-0.2%) and industry (-0.5%), while that of services increased by 0.4%”.
On the side of the question, they contributed “positively” to the growth of GDP all the components of the national final demand, including the change of stocks, while the contribution of net foreign demand was negative. “In increase of 0.3% the working hours and of 0.6% the income from employees per-capita were up.”.
