ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In May 2026 the seasonal index of production in buildings remains stable compared to the previous month, interrupting the growth phase recorded in the previous two months (+1.9% in March and +0.8% in April). Istat detects it.
“In the average quarter of March – May 2026 production in buildings, net of seasonality, increased by 2.0% in comparison with the previous quarter”.
On a curtain basis, the crude index “records a bending of 1.6%”, while the correct index for the calendar effects “growth of 2.9%” (the calendar working days were 20 against 21 of May 2025). On the average of the first five months of 2026, the crude index “increases by 2.1%”, while the correct index for the calendar effects “ decreases by 2.0%”.
