ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Charter Dedicated to You, the measure wanted by the Meloni Government to support Italian families in greater economic difficulty and, at the same time, promote the consumption of national agri-food productions of quality.
“It will be available over 1 billion euros, 1,000 euros per family. A concrete choice that strengthens support for the most fragile nuclei and that will allow to more than 1,1 million families to find accredited the first 500 euros on their card next November 4 and another 500 euros in April 2027″, announced the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, Francesco Lollobrigida, during the press conference to present the new campaign of the Dedicated Charter in Te held today at the Masaf.
Together with Francesco Lollobrigida they took part in the presentation also the Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Marina Calderone, the President of the INPS, Gabriele Fava, the General Manager of Poste Italiane, Giuseppe Lasco, the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, as national president of the ANCI, intervened in video connection, and the president of Federdistribuzione, Carlo Alberto Buttarelli, representing the GDO.
The budget law for 2026 provided for a total appropriation of 1 billion euros, equivalent to 500 million euros for each of the years 2026 and 2027. For 2026, in particular, the resources already allocated are added the residues not used in 2025, equal to approximately 91 million euros. Therefore, the total amount of available resources is EUR 591.029.831.
Since 4 November, the 1.177.597 households resident in Italy, indicated by the municipalities, composed of at least 3 members and with ISEE less than 15,000 euros, without other social inclusion contributions or poverty support, will be credited with the first 500 euros on their own Charter. A second 500 euro tranche will be delivered from April 2027.
The first purchase must be made by 16 December. Failure to act within that date entails the non-use of the Charter and the consequent decline in the contribution.
The Charter Dedicated to You, promoted by the Ministries of Agriculture, the Sovereign Food and Forests, the Economy, and Labour and Social Policies, in collaboration with Poste Italiane, INPS and ANCI, confirms itself as one of the main social measures introduced by the current Government. Between 2023 and 2027 totalled EUR 2.7 billion.
“We continue to support the purchasing power of Italians and, at the same time, to enhance the work of our agricultural and agri-food chains, promoting the purchase of quality products, DOP and IGP – added Minister Lollobrigida -. The Meloni Government has been thinking of families since its settlement. We have never stopped following carefully those who were the difficulties of the Italians and leave no one behind. No aid, but true support to help families buy first-need goods and, at the same time, enhance the work and quality of our agrifood chains.
“The Charter Dedicated to You is fully integrated into an integrated system of design that the Government is strengthening with determination, alongside interventions of inclusion and contrast to poverty concrete measures to protect the purchasing power of the most fragile family groups. From the immediate support measures to the paths of the Assign of Inclusion and the Support for Formation and Work, to the strengthening of the territorial services of the National Inclusion Programme, our vision is clear: social protection is never passive assistentialism, but a dynamic protection network that travels hand in hand with the promotion of good employment”, said the Minister of Labour and Social Policies, MarinaCalderone.
“In this project the INPS plays a strategic role, identifying families through ISEE data and using the information already available to reach those entitled to support. It is a new model of proximity. He is no longer the citizen to have to look for the administration, but it is the Institute to approach people, intercepting needs and rights. The proximity thus becomes the ability to be there before, with simpler, timely and targeted services – said the President of the INPS Gabriele Fava -. It is the new course of the INPS, a welfare that, thanks to data and digital transformation, reduces the distance between the State and citizens and makes social rights really accessible, bringing public protection wherever it serves”.
The contribution is provided through electronic payment cards, prepaid and rechargeable, made available by Poste Italiane.

In this spirit of full cooperation, we are ready for a confrontation to further refine the instruments available. Joining the experience and sensitivity of our Social Services to central resources will allow us to respond even more capillary, timely and effective to the real needs of our communities.”
With the Charter it will be possible to buy food of first necessity, with particular attention to the productions of the Italian supply chains and to the products DOP and IGP, thus contributing to support the families and the work of farmers, breeders and Italian agri-food enterprises.
Also for this year the Masaf has renewed the conventions with the main signs of the great organized distribution. Card holders will benefit from an additional 15% discount, which can be combined with the promotions already present at the participating points of the chains that have signed the conventions: Federdistribuzione, ANCC Coop, ANCD Conad and Lidl.
“The Charter Dedicated to You is an important initiative of the Government that gives concrete help to over a million families, making available to each beneficiary approximately 500 euros to use for the expense of first-needed goods – concluded the president of Federdistribuzione, Carlo Alberto Buttarelli, representing the GDO -. Thanks to the sensitivity and economic commitment of the distribution companies, since the first edition we have made available to the beneficiaries the possibility to increase the value of the plafond of the card by 15%, through a dedicated discounts and also benefiting of all the promotions in progress. The renewal of the convention for the years 2026 and 2027 confirms the attention that the enterprises of Modern Distribution have towards the people and the economically fragile families”.
Moreover, in order to make a further contribution to the people in difficulty, with the budget law 2025 the Meloni government has made structural the endowment of 50 million euros annual for the National Indigent Fund, established at the Masaf.
For 2026, available resources for the purchase of foodstuffs for the most fragile bands of the populationto ensure access to good and healthy food for all, is 54,9 million euros. The basket of products includes high nutritional and quality foods from the Italian agri-food chains, with the inclusion of several IG-branded categories.
