For First Half Growth Post, Del Fante “Starting a New Chapter”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Poste Italiane closes the first semester with revenues that are attested to 6,8 billion, in increase of 5.9% year on year (3,4 billion in the second trimester of 2026, with an increase of 3.9% year on year). Total costs1 amounted to 5.5 billion, up 4.1% year on year (2.8 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 3.4% year on year). The adjusted operating result reached 1.8 billion, with an increase of 6.8% year on year (868 million in the second quarter of 2026, with an increase of 0.5% year on year), thanks to the increase of revenues and the continuous activity of rationalization of costs. Net profit reached 1,2 billion, with an increase of 3.5% year on year (594 million in the second quarter of 2026, with an increase of 3.8% year on year). The financial assets invested by the customers of the group have reached 613 billion, up 13 billion from December 2025. The balance sheet has a total capital ratio of Bancoposta equal to 22.5% (including Cet1 ratio of 19.3%), Leverage ratio of 3.2% and Solvency II ratio of the Poste Vita insurance group of 303%. During the second part of the year the Group will be engaged in the realization of the internal reorganization that sees the creation of a Financial Pole through the integration of the payment business with the financial services for the strengthening of the customer-centric approach, the optimization of the allocation of the capital within the Group and the maximisation of the synergies, also with the simplification of the operating structure. Also for 2026, the Italian Posts Group confirms the centrality of Postal Savings and the attention to the offer of products/services that are in step with the evolution of customer needs. The company confirms the guidance thanks to the results achieved in the second quarter of the year while, taking into account the further strategic developments of the Group, during the first quarter of 2027 a new strategic plan is planned. “I am proud to announce that for the fifth consecutive semester we have reached a record result, thanks to revenues in increase of 6% to 6,8 billion, an adjusted operating result in increase of 7% to the unprecedented level of 1,8 billion and a net profit that has reached the new historical maximum of 1,2 billion, confirming the solidity and resilience of the business model of our platform.
