ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “For the bill we have approved, there are two fundamental articles: the first is the one related to excise duties. The measure that must be joined together with the interministerial decree to support from Mef and Mase, makes sure that, substantially, a discount on the oil and only on the oil, for a total equivalent value for the excise and Iva of 17 cents until 6 August”. Thus the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, at the press conference at the end of the Cdm.
“Of course a Council of Ministers is already scheduled on August 4, which will assess the evolution of the situation and will obviously monitor the international situation for prices to see what to do after August 6. It has also been updated and extended until July the contribution in favor of the transporters and, of course, the tax credit for agriculture, where there is then a problem of all particular concerning the incapienza, which we intend to take part in the conversion process”, he added. “Altogether, the cost of the operation is around 125 million for excise discount,” said Giorgetti.
“We did not intervene on the excise duties on tobacco. As we have previously done, we will monitor daily the price trends which are very erratic in the light of the conflict situations which are more or less heated or, hopefully, still more desirable than peace in the Middle East. It is clear that the situation evolves from day to day. For example, today the price of Brent has drastically fallen, hope is that in a few days perhaps not too fast, this translates into the price to the pump,” he said.
MELONI “RISPOSTA RESPONSABILE TENENDO CONTO DELLE POCHE RISORSE”
“International tensions are making fuel prices rise again and, with it, the cost of everything traveling on the road. In the face of this recovery, which we have not determined but we must manage, we decided to intervene immediately: today the Cdm has approved, by decree, an immediate cut on the oil, the fuel that weighs more on transport, agriculture and on the prices that every family pays. We know it doesn’t solve the problem. But it is a timely and responsible response, taking into account the few resources we have and an ever-changing international framework.” So on social media premier Giorgia Meloni. “We follow day by day the evolution of the situation, even on the front of the conflict, and we will return to reunite before the deadline to decide the next steps. We will do everything we can not leave citizens alone and those who send the nation forward,” adds Meloni.
