ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Formalized today at Mimit the industrial solution for the future of the PMC Automotive Melfi and Brose Melfi Automotive disputes, two realities of the automotive sector whose branches of the company will be detected by C. Construction, an active company in the field of road works, earth movement and hydrogeological accommodation. “With today’s agreement we bring two complex disputes to a solution, safeguarding approximately 150 jobs and an essential asset for the industrial future of the territory,” said the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso. “It now opens a concrete perspective of relaunching production for the territory. The Mimit will follow with utmost attention the implementation of the plan, accompanying the conversion of the site and the reboot of the activities”.
The understanding previews that C. Buildings re-leaves the business branches of PMC Automotive Melfi and Brose Melfi Automotive, guaranteeing the safeguard of approximately 150 total jobs.
The company will also acquire from Stellantis the property in which the PMC plant is currently located, so as to allow the start of the new activity at the end of the industrial conversion and training phase of the staff. Today’s agreement is part of the path that has already allowed Mimit to reach 42 goals and to reduce to just 43 the crisis tables of national importance still active.
A result achieved in full transparency, through constant comparison with institutions, enterprises, workers and trade union organizations, which allowed to identify concrete industrial solutions also for particularly complex and long-term disputes, such as those of La Perla, Wärtsilä, Coin, Dema Group, Diageo, Speedline, Riello, Jabil, Venator and Adriatronics. The Mimit, in close agreement with all the parties involved, will continue to monitor the implementation of the agreement to ensure full compliance with the commitments assumed to protect the employment and relaunch of the Melfi site. The next monitoring meeting was convened on 23 November.
