MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “Productivity is the key element for the competitiveness of our companies for their international development.” We must “increase productivity, which unfortunately is at variable speeds between large and small companies. Our small micros have a productivity of one-fifth compared to the standards of our European competitors. The increase in productivity is the element that allows you to invest in adequate wages and develop both the technological and energy transitions of sustainability, and the growth in the increasingly fragmented markets of the new political geoterritoriality of ‘free all’, given by all the crises of recent years.’ He underlined it the president of Assolombarda, Alvise Biffi, on the margin of the meeting “Return to grow. The challenge of productivity”, organized by the Bruno Leoni Institute in collaboration with the association.
“I have just been to Canada for an agreement on critical raw materials, traditional ones, on which the Middle Eastern crisis has put in difficulty our enterprises – he explained then – . In this logic we guarantee stable, safe, continuous and priority supply for our 7,200 associates.”.
Assolombarda has estimated that the use of artificial intelligence “can increase by at least 10% the productivity of small enterprises in the territory, generating up to 2.4 billion euros of added value to be allocated to investments, wages and international growth”.
The president of Assolombarda then remembered the project forgIA, the technological platform promoted by the association that allows companies to share production data in a safe and compatible way, develop IA software specific to the industrial sector and protect the ownership of the data and the commercial secrets of each participant.
“The critical raw material of this industrial revolution is the data, of which our territory is very rich thanks to the highest concentration of manufacturing industry in Europe – it has specified – . forgIA puts them in common to make them interoperable, keeping them safe in a federation logic, so as to train artificial intelligence on the data of a supply chain or a district. We have estimated that this model can lead to an increase in productivity of at least 10% for small companies in our territory, amounting to approximately 2.4 billion euros to be allocated to the adjustment of wages, investments and growth on international markets.”.
