Urso meets Arnault in Paris: “We work together to strengthen the value chain in Italy”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The cooperation between Rome and Paris in the fashion sector and initiatives to strengthen the production chain that made Italy the global luxury factory, with focus on the measures necessary to promote traceability and legality in the field of work and social legislation throughout the production chain: these are the themes at the center of the meeting that the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, had in Paris with Bernard Arnault Emanuela D’Alessandro was also present at the meeting.

“We must work together to strengthen the value chain in Italy, which has become the world’s luxury factory, also through a system pact between Italy and France, aware that we are in the presence of a single industrial ecosystem”, said Minister Urso, highlighting how also in the meeting with the French Minister of Industry Sebastien Martin last Thursday in Brussels “we have identified a common path in order to better protect the sector also demonstrated in the new European office,” “In this context – the minister continued – the contrast to all forms of illegality is fundamental to guarantee the reputation of Made in Italy in the world.”.

Arnault, for his part, reiterated the trust of the Group in the Italian production system, defining it particularly dynamic and attractive and in the strategic centrality of the company that has strengthened its production presence both with the Italian brands that acquired over time, from Fendi to Bulgari to Loro Piana, both with the French maisons, such as Dior, Celine, Givenchy, Thélios and Louis Vuitton, who in good part produce also. LVMH, recalled Arnault, employs almost twenty thousand employees in Italy between direct and indirect; our country also represents almost 80% of the supply chain of the Group that, in the last five years, has invested in Italy about 500 million euros a year and intends to continue doing so to increase employment and consolidate the supply chain.
