More than just a race, Italy RunLA 5K has become a real festival of Italian culture over the years, a meeting between families, sportsmen, institutions and community supporters, in the name of wellness, inclusion and Italian traditions.
The event has foreseen a suggestive 5 km race/walk open to all ages and levels of preparation, followed by activities, entertainment and sponsor activations in the new Piazza Miramare, a space recently inaugurated and already become an important point of reference for the local community.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fifth edition of the Italy RunLA 5K,” said Vice President LILAA John De Girolamo. “What was born as a simple community meeting today has become a tradition that unites people through well-being, friendship and cultural pride. ”
Great enthusiasm also in the words of the newly elected President LILAA Anna Manunza, who stressed the symbolic value of the 2026 edition:
“This year the Italy RunLA 5K takes on an even more special meaning because we proudly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic, paying tribute to our roots, community and spirit that continues to unite us through generations. ”
Manunza also thanked the Port of Los Angeles, the Council District 15, Sistema Italia, the main sponsor Sports Research, along with volunteers, partners and supporters who have contributed to the growth of the event over the years.
For the occasion, the organizers invited all participants to wear Italian colors and to live a morning in the name of sport, music and community spirit.
An event that, year after year, continues to strengthen the link between Italy and Los Angeles, celebrating Italian traditions through sport and sharing.
