MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Overcoming the constraints of the stability pact “is not a political question, but of survival. I am convinced that the entire government will continue to ask that Europe allow us to help families in difficulty with prices and inflation.” The vice-premier and minister Matteo Salvini said this, in the margin of a sopralluogo to Palazzone Aler in Milan, answering those who asked him about the opposition of Forza Italia on the subject.
“If Brussels prevented us, I imagine and am convinced that the entire government will bring Parliament’s approval to Parliament the possibility of spending money beyond European constraints and limits to help the Italians who need it,” he added.
“Brussels does not allow the Italian government and other governments to derogate from the idiotic, old, foolish and outdated constraints of the stability pact. Today we want to help families and businesses in difficulty, but we cannot do it because there are European constraints that I imagine in the coming days we will be forced to overcome,” said Salvini.
