ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The international scenario, marked by conflicts that hurt Europe and the Mediterranean, sees shocked the balances of peace and stability that we thought were now consolidated until a few years ago. The foundations of peaceful coexistence, already proven by numerous crises, in different areas of the world, are today further shaken by acts of aggression that violate sovereignty and even the most basic rules of international law, starting from the humanitarian one. At this moment, the defence of the values enshrined in our Constitution is more than ever necessary.” Thus the president of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during the meeting at the Quirinale with the chief of staff of the Air Force and a representation of the French Army, on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of foundation.
