Real estate market, Bankitalia: in the second half buys and prices in braking

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In the second trimester the real estate agents indicated a slowdown in the sales prices of the houses. Discount margins on the requested prices and sales times remain substantially stable on the minimum levels from the beginning of the survey. Intermediate sales from agencies were reduced slightly in comparison with the same period of the previous year. This is what emerges from the joint survey on the housing market in Italy, developed by the Bank of Italy.

The demand for housing remains contained and the offer of housing continues to shrink. The conditions of access to credit remain extended and continue to affect to a modest extent on the termination of assignments to sell. The lease fees have accelerated compared to the previous quarter in most of the national territory, except in the North-West; they have declined however in comparison with the same quarter of 2025. The reviews of operators on the prospects of the national real estate market indicate a cautious improvement, especially on a two-year horizon.
