MILAN (ITALPRESS) – New historical maximum for managed savings and records for dividends distributed in a year of strong growth for the listed financial sector and the companies negotiated on Euronext Growth Milan. It is the photograph that emerges from the Intermediary and Issuers statistical bulletins published by CONSOB for the entire 2025.
On the front of the financial intermediation at the end of 2025, the countervalue of financial instruments held at the intermediaries supervised in the field of investment services and the management of savings rose by 7.9% compared to 2024, reaching 4.373 billion euros, the highest level since the start of the Consob surveys in 2010. Within this framework, the value of Italian capital stocks has been raised to 533.9 billion euros, with a growth of 24.2% (equal to more than 100 billion more than 2024), confirming the trust of investors in the Italian market.
Compared to 2024 it has grown also, it reads in the Intermediary Bulletin, the assets managed, increased to 1,763 billion euros (+8.7%), mainly supported by the expansion (+20.2%) of the investment funds (Oicr). In the course of the year the net collection of open Italian-law Oicrs was positive for approximately € 17.5 billion, mainly thanks to the push of the bond sector.
In 2025 on the increase, moreover, all the main activities related to investment services: the placement of financial instruments has grown of 13.1% to 535.2 billion; the negotiation in own account of 28.1% to almost 2,100 billion; the execution of orders of 8.7% and the reception and transmission of orders of 10.6%.
Increasing also the placement of insurance products to financial content (+10.7%), driven by the unit linked policies (+12.1%). With regard to broadcasters of Italian law listed or traded on the Italian financial markets, the Emittenti Bulletin shows a 2025 characterized by a strong increase in the profits of the listed banks, climbs of 12.7% to 30.1 billion euros, thanks above all to the increase of the active commissions and income from participations.
Increasing also the profits of insurance companies, which reached 6.2 billion euros (+16.2%), supported by the increase of insurance revenues and the reduction of operating costs.
The companies listed different from banks and insurance companies have recorded total profits of €24.2 billion (-15.7% compared to the previous year), mainly affected by extraordinary negative components related to devaluations made by some broadcasters. Operating indicators however report a substantial industrial performance and a positive cash generation capacity.
Overall, dividends distributed by listed companies for the benefit of shareholders exceeded 37 billion euros. The high profitability guaranteed to the market, along with the solid operating results, has supported the overall evaluations. This shows the growth of multiple price/books in all compartments, confirming the progressive strengthening of investor sentiment.
Positive trend also for the companies negotiated on Euronext Growth Milan, which closed 2025 with profits growing of 37.4% to 353 million euros, thanks to the increase of turnover and the improvement of operating profitability. In this scenario, the Return on Equity (Roe) of the sector emerges, climbed to 7.2%: a value more than doubled compared to 2024 and the highest level of the last three years.
