Approximately 83% of these institutions have a public utility orientation, therefore solidarity (to a greater extent than the rest of the sector) and work on the reference territories by structuring networks of meaningful relationships with different stakeholders in 96% of the cases. Social assistance is the main area of intervention of the initiatives supported by the Impact Direction of Intesa Sanpaolo, which in 2025 financed 200 initiatives for a total of 69 million euros, of which 10 million are intended for design aimed at people with disabilities. According to the impact assessment carried out in collaboration with Prometeia, these interventions generate an expected social value of 196 million euros, corresponding to 2.8 euros of social benefits for each euro financed. Among the main effects of beneficiary organisations are the improvement of psychological well-being and self-esteem of people involved (49%), economic benefits for families (15%) and increased availability of time for caregivers (12%). Through the testimonies of Anffas Brescia ETS APS and the social cooperatives Andirivieni of Rivarolo Canavese (TO) and New Laser of Teramo emerged the value generated by the interventions realized on the territory, with particular reference to the strengthening of personal autonomy, the care and beauty of the environments, the development of relational skills and the paths of employment inclusion of persons with disabilities through the collaborationbetween profit and non profit for the care of during as well as after us.
