FIRENZE (ITALPRESS) – “Here at the Mef we work day and night, we meet, say, the interested, we met the Regions just last week, so then, obviously, on the media press there are so many versions, so many indiscretions, but we continue to work on the lower head”. This was said by the Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, speaking today in video linking to the Festival of Regions in Florence. “I believe that we will go to the Council of Ministers tomorrow morning because almost all the components have gone to a point,” concluded Giorgetti.
“As we have repeated several times with the European Commission we have made progress and therefore I believe that we will finalize by this evening the proposals we believe can be considered eligible. Only with this degree of certainty I think I can sign a proposal and go to the Council of Ministers, not before. This is the place where we move around, so let’s hope that this evening the whole picture is composed,” added Giorgetti.
With regard to requests made in recent hours by the League on Pensions and Forza Italia on Irpef “we will do what is possible, not the impossible. It is clear that the demands are many- added Giorgetti-. The proposals that come not simply from the parties, but from the categories and clearly also from the Regions and the Municipalities, are far above those which are the availability of a budget which, however, must take into account the reality and the geopolitical reality that has heavily influenced these years, but which is also heavily affecting the budgets of families, enterprises and public administrations and in these months, so we take into account in a very realistic way of the situation”.
