ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “For me the Republic is…”. This is the invitation addressed by the Quirinale for the 80th anniversary of the referendum on 2 June 1946. The initiative aims to collect short videos made by citizens to tell what the Republic represents today.
The dedicated site, www.ivoltidellarepublic.quirinale.it, is online and allows you to upload a video of a few seconds, also shot with your mobile phone, with your own thought starting from the phrase “For me the Republic is…”.
The goal is to celebrate the anniversary also on the web and on social media, involving citizens of every age and region. The initiative aims to be, especially for the new generations, also a moment of reflection on the sense of republican choice and the recent history of the country.
All can participate, contributing to the construction of a “living archive” of women and men who, with different faces and voices, make up the Republic daily.
