World Manufacturing Forum, Taisch “Industrial development is an investment in peace”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “Industrial development is an investment in peace. If there is industrial development, there is work. If there is work, there are well-being and serenity. If there are well-being and serenity, there are conditions for peace to last. I think this is the great message that emerges from WMF 2026: the awareness that the development of manufacturing not only represents an engine of economic growth and technological progress, but also can be an extraordinary instrument of diplomacy, cooperation and building peace.” Marco Taisch, Scientific Chairman, World Manufacturing Foundation as part of the World Manufacturing Forum (WMF) in Milan. “In fact, industry – continues – is not limited to producing goods, technologies and economic value: it produces opportunities, generates skills, returns prospects to people, contributes to building stronger and resilient communities. Industry creates dignified work opportunities, fostering confidence in the future, social inclusion and stability. With industry people can build their own tomorrow and reduce the uncertainty that too often fuel conflicts. It is in this perspective that an event like the WMF goes beyond the boundaries of economics and academic research: it becomes a lever of dialogue between countries, a ground on which to build shared interests and a collective responsibility towards future generations. It is the mission of the Forum.”.
