SACE and Banco de la Nacion Argentina together to support Italian exports

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – SACE, the Italian Export Credit Agency participated by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Banco de la Nación Argentina (BNA), the main public banking institution in Argentina, signed an agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and supporting new export opportunities for Italian companies in Argentina.

The agreement was signed in Buenos Aires, as part of the entrepreneurial mission in Argentina and Brazil organized by Confindustria and ICE Agency, in coordination with the Embassies of Italy in Buenos Aires and Brasilia, by the CEO of SACE Michele Pignotti, at the head of the delegation of the company in Latin America and Rodrigo Luis García, Senior Deputy General Manager Business of BNA.

The agreement defines a framework of collaboration for the exchange of information and the identification of projects and opportunities of interest for Italian companies. Thanks also to the wide and diversified base of corporate customers of BNA, the agreement will contribute to creating new business opportunities and to facilitate the entry and growth of Italian companies on the Argentine market, with particular attention to small and medium-sized enterprises and the chains of Made in Italy.

SACE and BNA will work together to facilitate access to financial, insurance and guarantee solutions to support commercial transactions between Italy and Argentina, involving Italian exporters and local buyers. The collaboration will cover, in particular, the sectors of energy and sustainable transition, infrastructure, mechanics, agri-food, textiles and construction, sectors in which Italian companies express excellence skills and solutions.

“The collaboration with Banco de la Nación Argentina strengthens SACE’s commitment alongside Italian companies looking at Argentina and, more generally, at Latin American markets. Through this agreement we aim to facilitate new export opportunities to the country, making financing, insurance and guarantee tools more accessible and accompanying companies, in their growth and internationalization routes. The agreement is fully integrated into the trajectory of our strategic SACE50 and confirms our willingness to consolidate the presence in the region, strengthening support for Italian exports and contributing to create new business opportunities for Made in Italy”, said Michele Pignotti, CEO of SACE.
