Schlein “We will not do the right the favor to divide us”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “We will not do the right to divide us.” The secretary of the Pd, Elly Schlein, launches a clear message to opposition in an interview with L’Espresso, claiming the estate and the reasons of the progressive alliance. Strong of the longevity record leading the party, having beaten the primacy of Pier Luigi Bersani, Schlein outlines the next steps of the coalition: “And from September we will work to refine the shared programme,” starting from common proposals already presented on work, health, school and rights.

On the most delicate rock, that of foreign policy and support for Ukraine, the leader dem says he is convinced that he can find a square with the 5 Star Movement and other allied forces: “We are in tune on Gaza. And also on Kiev we will understand.”.

Schlein minimizes distances on military support, explaining that “there are differences is normal, but we have already shown that we are able to make synthesis.” Revealing the budget of his secretariat, Schlein emphasizes that he has “reported the party where our people expect it, that is, among people, in the squares, in front of the factories, in front of the places of care, in the small municipalities of the internal areas”.

On the front of the work and the new generations, the secretary of the Pd launches a clear proposal inspired by the Iberian model: “As Sanchez in Spain we will bring together enterprises and unions for a drastic reduction in precarious contracts. And we’ll introduce the minimum wage. We will really make Italy a country for young people.”.

There is no shortage of a hard attack on the government led by Giorgia Meloni: “Meloni closed in the building, he does not listen to the country,” attacks Schlein, denouncing the decline in health spending “until the historical minimums of the last 15 years”.
