Cdm vara decree-law Campi Flegrei and new measures for the Sisma 2016

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In the press room of Palazzo Chigi, in Rome, the press conference dedicated to the Decreto-Legge Campi Flegrei, with a focus on the provisions and measures intended for the territories affected by the earthquake of Centro Italia 2016. The meeting was attended by the Extraordinary Commissioner for Reconstruction, Senator Guido Castelli, MP Paolo Trancassini and institutional representatives of the Regions concerned. Opening the interventions, Castelli defined the measure “a fundamental passage” for the path of reconstruction, highlighting some of the novelties introduced by the decree. Among these, the possibility of attributing to mayors a direct role in the management of the Emergency Living Solutions (SAE), allowing them to dispose of them according to the needs of the territories. The Commissioner also announced that 4% of the resources for reconstruction will be reserved for social activities, with the aim of supporting communities and encouraging the relaunch of the affected territories. MEP Paolo Trancassini thanked the citizens of the earthquake municipalities, recalling “the terrible experience” experienced by the people affected by the earthquake. He therefore stressed that the resources provided for by the decree represent “important forms” that can contribute to the relaunch of the identity and vitality of the small municipalities of the Apennines. During the conference the mayor of Arquata del Tronto, Michele Franchi, who recalled the consequences of the depopulation followed by the earthquake. “Many people in 2016 had to transfer them to San Benedetto or Ascoli and of course it is difficult to bring them back,” he said, highlighting the difficulties in encouraging the return of residents. Frank also reiterated the spirit of solidarity between the administrations of the affected territories: “We all feel like brothers and sisters in difficulties.” In addition to him there were thanks to the government also by other members of the areas affected by the earthquake. – photo xu1 Italpress – (ITALPRESS).
