ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I have just spoken to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He explained to me the negotiation that Iran is having with Oman to reopen the Hormuz Strait to commercial traffic. I reaffirmed the importance of continuing the dialogue to quickly reach a political solution to the crisis with the United States and avoid new escalation.” He wrote it on X the vice-premier and foreign minister, Antonio Tajani. “It is essential to ensure full freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, without tolls or limitations, in the interest of regional stability and the global economy,” he continued. “We also spoke of Lebanon: I hope that the negotiations in progress in Rome will produce concrete results to consolidate the ceasefire and arrive at a general agreement. I reiterated that Iran’s role is crucial to halt Hezbollah’s military actions. Italy will continue to play its part in promoting dialogue, security and peace in the Middle East,” said Tajani.
