PORTOFINO (GENOVA) (ITALPRESS) – It will be Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State of the United States of America, one of the protagonists of the Optimum Investors Summit – The Portofino Conversation, the international event promoted by Optimum Asset Management S.A. that, tomorrow at the Excelsior Palace Portofino in Rapallo, will bring together representatives of the institutions, finance, industry and the world of investments for a high level comparison on the main themes that are redefining the balances of the global economy.
Next to Pompey, Senator Matteo Renzi, former President of the Council of Ministers, will speak. Among the expected guests are Vice Minister Valentino Valentini, Vice Minister Edoardo Rixi, Undersecretary Claudio Durigon, Undersecretary Matilde Siracusano, the President of the Liguria Region Marco Bucci, the President of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiuto, representatives of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Antonio Gozzi, President of Duferco and Federacciai and Delegate of Confindustria for the European Strategic Autonomia.
The event was born with the aim of fostering dialogue between policy makers, institutional investors, entrepreneurs and international leaders in a historical phase characterized by deep geopolitical, economic and financial transformations.
In the course of the work will be addressed some of the most important issues for the future of growth and investment: the evolution of the international geopolitical scenario, European industrial competitiveness, energy security, infrastructure investments, the role of private markets in the development of the real economy, the prospects of the financial markets and the impact of new global dynamics on capital allocation strategies.
Particular attention will be paid to the issue of social security savings and Italian institutional investors. Pension funds and insurance funds are one of the country’s main financial engines, administering a total of over 300 billion euros of social security assets and playing an increasingly important role in financing the real economy.
Mario Pepe, President of the Covip, and Senator Alberto Bagnai, President of the Parliamentary Commission on social security.
The Optimum Investors Summit – The Portofino Conversation aims to become an annual reference event for the comparison between institutions, investors and enterprises on the major issues that will affect economic growth, investments and competitiveness of the coming years.
