ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The House of the House has approved the reform of the new electoral law with 217 votes in favour, 152 against and 2 abstentions (the vote was on secret ballot). The result was received by a majority applause. The measure now passes to the Senate for the second reading.
The reform provides for a majority prize for the coalition or list, which exceeds 42% of the consents (i.e. 70 additional seats at the Chamber and 35 in the Senate, up to a roof of 220 deputies and 113 senators). If the threshold is not reached, the seats will then be allocated proportionally. On the ballot will be indicated the premier candidate and will not figure the preferences: on the theme, it has not been rejected – for only one reject vote – an amendment of Brothers of Italy, Noi Moderati and Udc.
