Tax pressure at 43.5% in the second quarter, decreases the purchasing power of households

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In the second quarter, according to Istat data, the tax pressure was 43.5%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year. The disposable income of consumer households increased by 0.4% compared to the previous quarter, while consumption increased by 1.7%.

The consumption of households was 6.7%, down 1.2 percentage points compared to the previous quarter. With an increase of 1.4% of the implied consumption deflater, household purchasing power decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous quarter.

The profit share of non-financial companies, equal to 42.1%, fell by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous quarter. The investment rate of non-financial companies, equal to 26.4%, increased by 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.
