ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Criminals have been spreading my personal data on the dark web for days and looking for more information, in fact exposing me to new threats and intimidation. They also involve my family, they are ready to pay for more details about me and my loved ones. My reaction is very simple: I will not be intimidated in any way. I will continue to work to defend my ministry and Italy, strengthen ties and collaboration with our allies to protect us together.” Thus, on X, the vice-premier and foreign minister Antonio Tajani.
“Our position on Ukraine is the political reason why I entered the viewpoint: to defend the freedom of a sovereign state, to stand clearly in favour of democracy and independence of a nation for these criminal entities is dangerous,” he adds.
“At the Farnesina we work seriously against these threats: I have created since 1 January a cyberdirection to protect us from cyber incursions of subjects often connected somehow to state entities hostile to us. We will continue to defend our security, defend ourselves against cyber criminals. With the conviction that this is the right way to protect the Italian people and our country,” Tajani concludes.
