The heat that evaporates the bonfires, the drought that burns our campaigns with huge damage to businesses and agriculture, the need to make our water networks more efficient and fight every form of waste. This is why I decided to appoint lawyer Marco Rago as Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Water Policy,” Tajani wrote.
“It will be the task of promoting Italian diplomatic action for the sustainable management of water resources, enhancing its strategic link with energy, agriculture, environment and development cooperation. It will represent Italy in the main multilateral interests and will contribute to strengthening Italy’s role in international water dialogue, a commitment that confirms the centrality of our country in the global debate,” the head of the Farnesina continued.
“We want Italy to be the protagonist of the water dialogue and contribute concretely to the great challenges of our time. The action of the government goes exactly in this direction and the next big appointment will be on September 29 when we will open in Rome the first Euro-Mediterranean Forum on the water organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs“, concluded Tajani.
