ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I continue to follow with concern the alarming situation in Ceuta, asking God, through the intercession of Our Lady of Africa, that there are solutions of peace, stability and justice”. Thus Pope Leo XIV, after the first Angelus of August, as Vatican News reports, expressing his concern in following the drama of the tens of thousands of migrants who in recent days tried to reach Spain from Morocco.
The Pontiff then addressed a thought to those who suffer because of the many conflicts in progress in the world: “We continue to pray for peace, because in the world wars cease and diplomatic solutions to conflicts are found. We recall all the victims of hostilities, especially the weakest and most defenseless: children, elderly, sick. The Lord comforts those who suffer and bless the work of those who bring help and consolation,” he added.
