Stefano Lucchini re-elected President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy

ILANO (ITALPRESS) – With four new appointments within the Board of Directors and the re-election of Stefano Lucchini as President for his second and last term, the 11th General Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, held in the halls of the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, concluded today. Guests of honor the Consul General USA in Milan, Douglass Benning and the Special Representative of the European Union for the Gulf region, Luigi di Maio.

“Amcham Italy arrives at its 111 Assembly in excellent form – says Stefano Lucchini, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, reconfirmed in the office at the vaglio of the new appointments -. I deserve the work done by the structures and the more than 600 representatives of the associated companies present in the committees. The friendship of the two united countries has never been questioned and never will be. The link between Italy and the United States does not arise from convenience, but from the sharing of common and ideal values in which we all recognize ourselves. In 1776, in the Declaration of Independence, America centered the right to life, freedom and, unicum in the world, to the pursuit of happiness. Perhaps in a few people know it, but behind that revolutionary concept there is the small but fundamental contribution of Filippo Mazzei, Tuscan who, speaking with his neighbor in Virginia, Thomas Jefferson, believed happiness as the purpose of good governance”.

Four leading figures enter the board in the transatlantic economic world. It is Vito Lo Piccolo (Bank of America), Stefania Radoccia (BIP Law), Nico Losito (IBM) and Giovanni Sandri (Blackrock).

“In an ever-changing international context, AmCham Italy confirms its role as a strategic bridge between Italy and the United States, promoting dialogue, investment and growth opportunities for companies in the two countries – says Simone Crolla, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy. Thanks to the contribution of our Associates and to the collaboration with Italian and American institutions, we continue to feed that fruitful exchange between the two shores of the Atlantic that generates development, employment and innovation to mutual advantage of our nations. This is the mission that has led for more than 110 years the action of our organization and that will continue to guide its commitment to the future. ”
