PORTOFINO (GENOVA) (ITALPRESS) – Over three thousand appearances in two days, Portofino transformed into a meeting point between politics, enterprise and institutions and a parterre that brought together ministers, presidents of Region, parliamentarians, entrepreneurs and managers. The Portofino Talks, organized by Philia Associates, close the second edition with record numbers and, above all, with a final day full of news: from health to former Ilva, from security to security, to technology and industrial sovereignty. Since the second day there has also come a concrete novelty for Ligurian health. To announce it was the Regional Councillor Massimo Nicolò: Liguria wants to experience the “condomain nurse”, bringing health care directly inside the large residential complexes. The project plans to use former concierges or other premises today unused to create small outpatients in which the nurses of family and community will operate. The goal is to reach above all the large elderly population of the region, allowing the nurses to assist people in their apartments or residents to find a health station a few floors from home.
The experimentation will start from Genoa and should then involve at least one condominium for each Ligurian province. Nicolò also indicated a first deadline: by the end of the year the Region aims to activate the project in a large Genoese condominium, with a basin of a few hundred residents. The family nurses and community nurses already working on home care will be working there, with the possibility of recourse to new recruits if staff were not enough.
On the future of the National Health Service the comparison dedicated to supplementary health welfare was also focused. Senator Francesco Zaffini, President of the 10th Commission for Social Affairs, Health, Public and Private Work, Social Welfare, announced that the Commission’s cognitive survey on supplementary health is now close to the conclusion and should be translated into a resolution in the coming weeks. “The reform of supplementary health is no longer just appropriate, but indispensable – Zaffini explained. We need to preserve a health service that provides approximately two million daily benefits, but we must intervene on the inappropriate benefits that feed the waiting lists and the unevenness that still exist in the delivery of essential levels of assistance.”.

One of the leading threads of the second day of Portofino Talks was that of innovation, declined not only as a growth engine but as a strategic issue for the country. In the comparison of “Technology, Security and Sovereignty”, the president of AIAD Giuseppe Cossiga spoke with Davide Fazio, Chief Commercial Officer of Leonardo.
