ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Today is a wonderful edition of Fenix, with an extraordinary participation, an exciting program and courageous debates. And today I want to tell you that I am immensely proud of you.” This was said by the President of the Council and leader of FdI, Giorgia Meloni, in Fenix, the national Youth Day, the youth movement of his party, which is held in Rome at the pond of Eur. “You are a show that inflames the heart,” he added.
“For decades the Italian school was afraid to tell the truth: they tried to convince us that there was a right way to educate, but that is not respect but lie and the boys pay it years later, maybe at a job interview. The account paid him who to grow and claim could count only on public school – adds Meloni -. This is the biggest failure of 1968 and a revolution that was born to build the school of all and ended up producing the exact opposite. Giving everyone the same vote does not mean giving everyone the same opportunity: pretending to give everyone enough means not recognizing the merit and hiding the gaps; this is not equality, but levelling down. The first duty of the school is to evaluate a boy and teach him that judgment exists and that errors exist to grow: education and respect are based on rules and not on their denial, so we have returned dignity to the vote of conduct that now mediates and determines promotions and rejections.”.
“We have reformed the examination of maturity, introducing the principle that those who refuse to take a test or stage change to the oral are rejected: first the exam is done, then it manifests and protests; there is no mortification of an examination committee that has the responsibility to give or not give a degree of study with legal value. We reported civic education with dignity of matter – continues Meloni, – A conscious citizen must be trained and the school has the duty to teach. In Italy there must be no A and B series schools: high schools and technical-vocational institutes are pillars of a system that grows only if it is held together. Our children must be able to choose which inheritance to collect without labels and prejudices: I consider an important milestone the entry into force of the reform of 4+2, which gives students the opportunity to access the biennials of specialization or to enter the labour market”.
“We have made a lot of reforms and I am proud to announce that we will soon release the norm that introduces the definition of high school also for technical-vocational institutes, because we believe they are schools of equal value and the people who attend them are just as much.”.
“If children who do not understand the language of the lesson, that is, Italian, become many is no longer integration, but abandon: the risk is that the only thing they can learn is marginalization. It cannot exist that in a class Italian children are put in a corner because they have become the minority – continues Meloni -. Calling all this integration is a convenient lie for those who live in ideology, for us who come to Italy and want to build the future here must learn our language and respect the rules; this is the only serious way to welcome”
“It is about to arrive in the Council of Ministers a measure that introduces by law a maximum number of foreign students per class and the obligation to learn Italian for parents of foreign students with serious problems of school insertions and the prohibition of burqa and niqab at school: in Italy nobody, in the name of a true or presumed tradition, can decide that a young woman should hide; equality between man and woman is not negotiable, neither in the streets nor in schools”.
