Italpress will have a second operating point in New York. The news agency announced the opening of a TV corner in the spaces of Piazza Italia, at 10 Times Square. The study will be hosted in the offices that the Italian platform occupies on the twenty-second floor of the building.
The agreement was signed in New York by Gaspare Borsellino, founder and manager of Italpress, and by Alberto Milani and Marco Giovanelli, respectively president and vice president of Piazza Italia. The announcement does not yet indicate when the productions begin, how great the corner will be or what programs will be realized. Its function will however be different from that of the other New York office of the agency, dedicated above all to the work of correspondence.
Italpress has been present in the city since October 2023, when he inaugurated an office in the United Nations Glass Palace for his 35 years. In April, he signed an editorial partnership with New York to expand the distribution of his content in the United States. In May 2026 he started “Qui New York”, a weekly video column conducted by Claudio Pagliara, director of the Italian Institute of Culture and former correspondent Rai from the United States.
The new studio arrives a few weeks after the transfer of Piazza Italia to Times Square. The platform, founded in 2021 to help Italian companies enter and stay in the American market, left the spaces of Madison Avenue and moved to 1441 Broadway, also known as 10 Times Square. The new headquarters opened in June includes offices, showrooms, meeting rooms and a penthouse used for events and activities of the Piazza Italia Social Club.
Piazza Italia offers companies a business address in the United States and services that include logistics, distribution, marketing, electronic commerce and event organization. In the early years it had about 4,000 square feet; today the offices and showrooms exceed 20,000. Among its members are mainly companies of jewellery and luxury, together with consulting companies, agribusiness operators, educational institutions and publishing groups. On its website it presents its headquarters as a shared support for companies that often do not have an autonomous structure in New York.
Italpress was born in Palermo in 1988 as a sports agency and over the years has extended its coverage to politics, economics, shows, health, environment, tourism and engines. He has editorials and television studios in Palermo, Rome and Milan and, according to the data published by the agency, produces more than a thousand news and services every day through a network of over two thousand collaborators and correspondents.
With the corner of Piazza Italia, New York will become the fourth city in which Italpress has a permanent space for television production.
