ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Three hundred million euros through the instrument of mini development contracts, are the resources that the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has placed in favor of the companies of the supply chain of the automotive with a decree signed by the minister, Adolfo Urso.
The measure, reports the Mimit, follows the provisions of the dpcm of last 10 June which refinanced the available resources of the Automotive Fund, to promote the green transition, the development of advanced technologies for sustainable, autonomous, connected, intelligent and secure mobility, in accordance with the European objectives of decarbonization and reduction of emissions in the field of transport.
“With this measure we give all the companies of the supply chain a tool aimed to continue investing in the technologies and in the transition, thus accompanying the sector in this phase of industrial transformation in order to meet the needs of the market and to protect a key sector of Made in Italy”, said Urso.
In detail, Mimit explains, “fundable programmes must be directed towards the development, engineering, testing and production of new vehicles and mobility solutions, as well as low-emission power and propulsion systems; development of parts, components, systems and advanced technologies for sustainable, autonomous, connected, intelligent and secure mobility; or diversification and industrial conversion towards strategic technologies with high intensity of research and development. Production investments can be accompanied by industrial research projects and experimental development, as well as training paths for personnel, the latter in the limit of 10% of total investment.”.
As regards the distribution of resources, a 60% of the same is reserved for initiatives proposed by SMEs – of which a quarter for the only micro and small enterprises – while a 40% is aimed at programs to be realized in plants of the Mezzogiorno, more specifically in the regions Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Basilicata, Calabria, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia. Finally, companies with the legality rating and certification of gender equality are reserved two quotas of 10%.
The concessions, recalls the ministry, “will be granted in the form of a lost contribution and facilitated financing and will cover up to 75% of eligible expenditure. Companies will also be able to propose requests in a joint form, up to a maximum of five participants.” The questions will be evaluated on the basis of the chronological order of presentation, through a two-phase articulated instructor. The concessions will be granted within 120 days of receipt of the application. With a subsequent directory decree “the procedures for requests and incentives will be detailed,” concludes Mimit.
