The countdown for the beginning of one of the most prestigious events in the world agribusiness sector is almost finished. Participation in the Fancy Food 2026, Sita Food faces it with a mix of deep enthusiasm and maximum concentration, aware that the US market requires not only excellence, but also an impeccable strategy. In this interview, Alessandro Sita unveils the background of preparations and bureaucratic complexities to deal with to succeed overseas.
Alessandro, what is the mood with which you are approaching the fair?
There is a lot of enthusiasm, but also a strong concentration. We are aware of the particular moment that the market is experiencing, so we face this eve with the utmost seriousness and with the desire to do well.
Is there a partner, a customer or even a rite that can’t wait to find in this edition?
The most beautiful rite is undoubtedly to confront each other in person with all our historical customers. However, our main goal remains to meet new buyers and distributors, revealing the quality of our Sita range to an increasing number of American consumers.
Sending food to the United States means facing very rigid bureaucratic barriers. What was the most complex obstacle?
The need to constantly explain to producers the importance of adapting Italian plants to FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act). Many companies focus only on the commercial part, but today the FDA forces to document the entire supply chain at all times, ensuring total traceability. You have to set yourself up before, if you want to avoid customs blocks.
What emotion will dominate your stand and what will you do differently this year?
Passion and authenticity. The great lesson of the previous editions is that it serves a precise plan of action to transform contacts into commercial contracts. To impress the audience, this year we will make live demonstrations to show buyers how to assemble a perfect Italian cutter with our Sita products.
