“The excellent results achieved in the third quarter stem from the strength of our operating model and selective investments in our widely diversified portfolio of competitive assets.” This is the comment of Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni, after the Board of Directors, meeting under the chairmanship of Giuseppina Di Foggia, approved the consolidated results of the third quarter and nine months 2026. “Thanks to the strength of fundamentals, the prospects for continuous improvement and historically sound financial performance, we are well positioned to continue to ensure our customers with sustainable, safe and increasingly decarbonised energy supplies. In the third quarter, E&P again achieved an extraordinary growth in organic production, equal to 7%, reflecting the start of new projects, the full operationality of our assets and the benefits resulting from the launch of JV Searah in Southeast Asia. During the quarter we have accelerated a series of relevant initiatives in South America, Africa and Southeast Asia, which will support growth and cash generation for years to come.”.
“Finally, thanks to our excellent exploration activities, this year we discovered 1,23 ml of barrels of new hydrocarbon resources, a result widely superior to our budget goal, while at the same time reducing exploration costs. In addition to upstream growth and stable results in our gas, power and refining activities, we are achieving performance higher than our expectations in transition business, which increasingly contribute to the diversification of Group profits. The increase in capital and the new governance of Plenitude will allow this Satellite Company to grow independently, mitigating the Group’s exposure. Thanks to our strategic business, industrial execution and extensive optionality, we can generate solid and recurring cash flows in different market conditions. Based on our fundamentals, the cash generation perspectives for the entire exercise 2026, with a gearing to the historical minimums, we further increase the distribution with an extraordinary dividend of €0.46 per share paid in the fourth trimester and we again increase the buyback to €3,8 mld, highlighting our commitment to share growth with shareholders” concluded Deccalzi.
