ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Consip publishes the new Multiservice integrated health energy (MIES), for the management and requalification of the sanitary properties of Valle d’Aosta, Piemonte, Veneto, Campania and Autonomous Province of Bolzano, of the maximum value of 2,5 billion euros. The initiative continues the national territorial coverage initiated with the first MIES Framework Agreement currently being contracted and provides the health authorities with a single contract to ensure continuity and quality of the energy services, comfort of the environment and redevelopment of the real estate, including the management of the plants, the supply of energy carriers and maintenance activities.
“With this new race, we extend the MIES model that is part of the Consip strategy for energy services, based on different tools in relation to the characteristics of buildings and the needs of administrations. We make available to public health an innovative and results-oriented purchasing tool, to support the redevelopment of properties, reduce energy consumption and improve the quality of care environments,” said Marco Reggiani, CEO and Managing Director of Consip.
Among the qualifying elements of the new race: The possibility to achieve energy efficiency and redevelopment of plants through investment of the supplier, favoring a more sustainable management of the healthcare real estate. The contribution of digital technologies to real estate management, through sensors and predictive maintenance solutions based on artificial intelligence, to anticipate faults, program interventions and improve service efficiency.
The contractual ceilings expressed on the basis of the cubic metres of the properties served, instead of the economic value, to limit the effects of the volatility of energy prices. A system of temporal quotas and deadlines ensures the dynamic distribution of orders among contractors. A progressive discount mechanism also encourages the integrated purchase of more services.
The initiative, divided into five territorial lots, provides for the conclusion of a multi-adjusted framework agreement lasting 36 months, through which health authorities will be able to access flexible and competitive contracts, calibrated on the characteristics of the structures and on the specific requirements of the sector. In the health sector, where the reliability of the plants and the quality of the environments directly affect the functioning of the structures, public procurement is a leverage to combine quality of services, environmental sustainability and technological innovation. The deadline for receipt of tenders is 30 September 2026.
