Concept “Tino” Ruta awarded Carnegie Hall with the Italian Reputation Award 2026

The Carnegie Hall in New York hosted the third edition of the Italian Reputation Awards on Saturday, October 10, the recognition dedicated to the personalities who contribute to strengthening the Italian reputation in the world. Among the protagonists of this year, Concetto “Tino” Ruta, president and CEO of Knights Care Global, awarded for his professional career in healthcare and for the activities developed between the United States and Europe.

The award, conceived by Davide Ippolito, founder and president of Italy America Reputation Lab, has come to the third edition and has been held this year in collaboration with Campus Salute, chaired by Pasquale Antonio Riccio, and Piazza Italia New York.

Ruta received the recognition “for building and guiding health platforms in complex regulatory contexts and between different jurisdictions, in the United States and Europe”. At the head of Knights Care Global, with offices in New York and Rome, he deals with projects involving health, institutions, investments and technology, from the management of healthcare facilities to public and private collaborations.

To give him the medal was Monsignor Dario Edoardo Viganò, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the UNINETTUNO University and already prefect of the Secretariat for Communication of the Holy See.

The ceremony also saw Brad Hoylman-Sigal, president of the Borough of Manhattan, who was awarded his commitment to strengthening institutional relations between New York and Rome; Andrea Mazzucchi, rector of the Federico II University of Naples, philosopher and scholar of Dante; Valter Quercioli, national president of Federmanager, for his contribution to the Italian managerial culture; Nick Eyde, former professional football player and entrepreneur, protagonist of the arrival of the Italian Bowl in Toledo; and Aldo Gallina, painter and sculptor who transformed the Braille into an artistic language.

The 2026 edition also inaugurated the Young Leader Under 30 award, awarded to Greta Fraraccio, athlete and startupper, in collaboration with United Italian Societies.

In the same week, Italian health was also a protagonist in New York thanks to Campus Salute. From 8 to 11 October, Italian doctors and specialists met with students and families at the Italian School Guglielmo Marconi, offering free talks dedicated to prevention and correct health information. During the ceremony, Pasquale Antonio Riccio wanted to pay tribute to the doctors who participated in the initiative, putting their skills available to the Italian community in New York.

The ceremony, conducted by the journalist of Sky TG24 Cristiana Mancini, opened with the Italian and American national hymns, plastered by the students of the Italian School Guglielmo Marconi. Serena D’Andria recalled, through a text, the sufferings of the first generations of Italian immigrants, while actress Alice Lussiana Parente read The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus, the poem engraved on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. To accompany musically the ceremony was the master Francesco Pollon, who closed the event with the No Dorma.

The winners were hand-made by master goldsmith Marco De Luca, inspired by the coins of ancient Rome and dedicated to Eucleia, the Greek deity of good reputation.

“Often years ago, for many Italians arriving in America, being Italian was something to hide,” wrote Ippolito in the message of welcome. “Today, here at Carnegie Hall, we give a name and a story to those who, with their work, help to make Italy respected in the world. There is nothing left to hide. Being Italian is a reason for pride”.

The Italian Reputation Awards are promoted by Italia America Reputation Lab, RetImpresa Confindustria, Campus Salute and Piazza Italia New York.
