ROMA (ITALPRESS) – CNA Editoria has sent a letter to the Minister of Culture asking for an intervention on the new “Voucher for the support of small publishers”: while expressing “appreciation” for the lost contribution up to 15 thousand euros, CNA Editoria reports “a criticality linked to the obligation to stipulate the policy against catastrophilic risks as a requirement to access to the facilitation”.
According to CNA Editoria, “the norm does not necessarily involve automatic exclusion from public contributions in case of failure to subscribe to the policy and should be applied taking into account the characteristics of the companies concerned“.
Almost all small independent publishers are micro-enterprises, often devoid of productive properties and equipped with limited value equipment. “The goal of Voucher is to support smaller realities and promote editorial pluralism – CNA Editoria emphasizes – so it is necessary to avoid a disproportionate requirement to limit access to the target companies of measurement.”.
CNA Editoria hopes “an interpretative or normative solution that allows small publishers to benefit from public support without introducing non-consistent obstacles with the structure and size of the sector”.
