On the other hand, the “other investments” (-1.1 billion) and the official reserves (-0.4 billion). In July 2026 Italy’s foreign liabilities increased by 13.8 billion. Growth is attributable to direct investments in Italy (8.2 billion) and to foreign purchases of Italian debt securities (7.5 billion, attributable exclusively to public securities). The “other investments” fell by 1,5 billion, mainly due to the reduction of the debt balance on TARGET (4,5 billion).
