ALIS Council in Milan, comparison with Salvini and approval of new members

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Today in Milan, at the Talent House in Adecco, the ALIS Board of Directors, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructures and Transport, Matteo Salvini, who participated in the works by comparing with the numerous representatives of the associated companies on the main topical issues of the field of transport, logistics and infrastructure.

“We thank Minister Salvini for choosing once again to be alongside ALIS and our companies. Its presence bears witness to the concrete attention of the Government towards a strategic sector for the competitiveness of the country and confirms the importance of constant dialogue between institutions and the productive world. We have appreciated the measures recently adopted by the Executive in support of the road haulage, which go in the direction of the requests that, as Association, we have represented in the past weeks. At an even complex international stage, in which the entire sector faces the effects of increasing energy costs and fuels, it is essential to ensure that companies support, operational continuity and adequate competitiveness conditions in order to continue to support the economic and employment growth of the country. This is why we also reaffirmed the need to intervene with additional financial allocations on the incentive measures for intermodality, Sea Modal Shift and Ferrobonus, which also represent an added value for businesses and citizens in economic, social and environmental terms,” said ALIS President Guido Grimaldi.

“In the course of the session we have also approved new important entrances in the Association and with great pleasure we announce that they join our network as advisers WINDTRE, one of the leading telecommunications operators in Italy for private and business, EY Advisory, the Italian division of the global network Ernst&Young dedicated to strategic and technological consultancy services, 3BMUST International, Gamma Invest and Giancarlo Zema Design Group: a reality of first floor companies operating in strategic sectors. These new additions – adds Grimaldi – represent an additional signal of the credibility, growth and attractiveness of ALIS. We are proud to welcome so high-profile companies that will help further enrich our ecosystem with expertise, innovation and strategic vision. Today ALIS represents a network of 2.560 members, over 530.000 workers and 166 billion euros of aggregate turnover, confirming itself a point of reference for the entire logistic and national productive system”.

“The present Council has also examined the main ongoing associative activities, with particular reference to ALIS’s commitment to national and European institutions on the issues of sustainability, competitiveness of enterprises, the revision of the ETS system and the development of strategic infrastructures, confirming the will of our Association to continue to represent with constructive spirit the needs of the sector and to promote an increasingly efficient, sustainable and integrated logistics with the territory. In this direction, I thank the Presidents and all the members of our technical commissions for the intense work carried out in these weeks and with satisfaction today we have approved the new Commission on Urban Regeneration, which will be presided over by the Member Gabriele Barucco of Tribeca and will have the task to promote the recovery and enhancement of the abandoned urban areas or to limited operational capacity, adjacent to ports, interports, airports and other logistic hubs.
