ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The government is ready to support Stellantis in the production of a second model in Mirafiori. The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, said this in an interview with Milano Finanza. “I spoke with the company to increase the productive potential of Mirafiori, in several meetings in recent months. I find a positive feedback on the statements issued by Arnaud Belloni, the new CEO of Fiat, at the Paris Motor Show which has made specific reference to a second model. We are ready to support this opportunity with the tools at our disposal,” said Urso.
According to the minister, “In the first nine months of the year production in the Italian plants of Stellantis increased by 28.3% compared to the previous year. It has reduced the use of the case integration of more than 30% and the benefit has been immediate also for the automotive industry, with contracts for at least 7 billion destined to Italian companies”. Urso called it “an important result if we think that elsewhere in Europe the plants are closed and the dismissals are announced. But there is certainly still much to do, especially with respect to some European rules that have led to the crisis of the sector and to the collapse of those companies that have persevered in the ideology of the whole electric”.
