ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The National Federation of the Orders TSRM and PSTRP welcomes the declarations of the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci on the equalization of health professions and the need to value the staff of the National Health Service.
“We thank Minister Schillaci for the attention recognised in the health professions and for the openness shown to the bodies represented by the National Federation,” says Diego Catania, president of the Fno Tsrm and Pstrp.
The theme of economic inequality between nurses and other health professions of the sector has been the subject of numerous interlocutions between the Federation and the Ministry of Health. From the beginning of the mandate of the new Central Committee, President Catania highlighted, through precise reliefs and interventions, the need to overcome a situation of disparity that is now unsustainable.
“The consultation activity has begun since the previous year and, during this year, several meetings have been held, during which new criticalities have emerged that will be resolved for the good of our SSN. At the same time, we found a full openness to dialogue by the Minister and the Committees Social Affairs of the Chamber and Senate”, continues Catania.
The Federation positively emphasizes the attention given to its requests and the hypothesis that they can be addressed within the next budgetary law and the renewal of the national collective contract of work.
“We are pleased to learn that our short-term requests will be taken into account and will be aimed at equating the professions, in order to ensure the right recognition of the role of professionals in the technical health area, rehabilitation and prevention,” the President adds.
For the Federation, it is a necessary measure to recognize skills, responsibilities and the contribution of professionals who work daily in the different areas of the National Health Service. “Equiparation is a due measure, as well as a step towards greater cohesion of national health care professionals,” Catania concludes.
