In July, industrial production prices increased by 7.8% annually, Istat data

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In July 2026, industrial production prices increase by 2.4% on a monthly basis and by 7.8% on an annual basis (was +5.8% in June). Istat detects it.

On the internal market prices rise by 3.0% compared to June and 9.3% on an annual basis (from +6,8% of the previous month). Net of the energy sector, the price growth is much more contained on a conjunctural basis (+0.3%) and tendential (+3.3%; it was +2.9% in June).

On the foreign market prices increase by 0.6% on a monthly basis (+0.2% euro area, +0.9% non euro area) and by 3.6% on an annual basis (+3.7% euro area, +3.5% non euro area).

In the quarter of May-July 2026, compared to the previous one, the prices for the production of the industry grow by 2.2% (+2.4% internal market, +1.5% foreign market).
In July 2026, among the manufacturing activities, the largest tendential increments concern coke and petroleum products refined (+54.0% internal market, +35.9% non euro area), chemicals (+9.6% internal market, +6,8% euro area, +6,6% non euro area), metallurgy and manufacture of metal products, excluding machines and plants (+7.7% internal market, +7.8% euro area) and other manufacturing industries repairing, On the internal market, the tendential growth of the prices of the supply of electricity and gas accelerates (+14.5%, from +8.9% of June).

In July 2026, construction prices for residential and non-residential buildings decrease by 0.1% on a monthly basis and grow by 3.1% on a yearly basis (from +3.3% in June); those of Roads and Railways grow by 0.8% in terms of economic activity and by 4.3% in tendential terms (was +3.7% in June).

In the quarter of May-July 2026, compared to the previous, the prices of residential and non-residential buildings increase by 1.3%, those of Roads and Railways of 1.1%.
