“This is the demonstration – he continued – of how the policy of open doors, which for Spain meant a maxi regularization of more than 600 thousand illegal immigrants, it is wrong that it must be absolutely reviewed on the line of the Meloni government that is modelling for all the rest of Europe. We talk about faster repatriations, hubs in third countries from which to repatriate those who have no right to stay in Europe. We talk about border protection, rules for NGOs. This is the model that Meloni is carrying forward,” he concluded.
