MADRID (SPAGNA) (ITALPRESS) – The Spanish government has “launched an ultimatum” to Italy so that it removes by Sunday 9 August the controls introduced for citizens from Spain. The Spanish newspaper El Pais writes it, adding that, if not, the Madrid executive is ready to introduce “proportional measures”. Palazzo Moncloa considers the Italian decision “unfair, contrary to the interests of the EU and discriminatory against the Spanish population”, reports the daily newspaper.

“Italy does not accept ultimatums or impositions from abroad for national security and border control”.
