MILAN (ITALPRESS) – On the occasion of the third National Day of Neurology, promoted by the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN), Lombardy Region illuminates the Pirelli Palace blue, adhering to the national campaign of awareness dedicated to neurological diseases. The initiative, which is celebrated on Wednesday, July 22, was born with the aim of recalling the attention of citizens and institutions on the importance of neurology and the fundamental role of neurologist in the prevention, diagnosis and care of diseases of the nervous system.
Pathologies that today are one of the world’s leading health challenges and require an ever greater commitment to research, innovation and assistance. For this occasion, the SIN invited the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) and the specialized structures of neurology to promote a symbolic gesture of great impact: to illuminate a building, a monument or a representative space, as a concrete sign of attention to neurological health.
The IRCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta has collected the invitation of the Italian Society of Neurology promoting the membership of the Lombardy Region to the initiative. The Region welcomed the proposal and, for the entire day of July 22, Palazzo Pirelli will be illuminated with blue, testifying its support to the national campaign
