Iran, Tajani “The reopening of Hormuz an important help for the economy”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The negotiation between the US and Iran is producing encouraging news: it is a must for caution, considering the situation of the Middle East. A real truce must be followed by a diplomatic negotiation but, wishing to be optimistic, it is possible a path that leads to peace in the region. The reopening of Hormuz could be an important help to the economy, both in the Gulf, in Europe and around the world.” This is how the vice-premier and foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, in an interview with Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno.

“We come to export: with the explosion of the tariff crisis, a year ago, we understood that the context of international trade was changing deeply. We have therefore launched an action plan for export by setting up the tools of ICE, CDP, Sace and Simest and launching new measures to support our companies on high potential markets. In the only 2025 we organized 50 entrepreneurial Forums in many countries” and “we involved more than 7.500 companies. The results gave us reason: in 2025, despite uncertainty, our export grew by 3.3%, reaching the record figure of 643 billion. The goal of over 700 billion is increasingly approached,” he concludes.
