GENOVA (ITALPRESS) – The Forum has gradually established itself as the most significant Italian event dedicated to international trade, European business policies, compliance, economic security and global geopolitical balances, consolidating a distinctive position based on high-profile content, scientific credibility and ability to create value relationships. In a context marked by deep geopolitical transformations, trade tensions, new tariff barriers and increasing regulatory complexity, international trade has returned to the center of strategic choices of enterprises and institutions.
It is in this scenario that the International Trade Forum is born and grows: a space of confrontation able to relate different visions, skills and experiences around the great themes that are redefining global exchanges. At its fourth edition, the Forum has gradually established itself as the most important Italian event dedicated to international trade, European commercial policies, compliance, economic security and global geopolitical balances, consolidating a distinctive position based on high profile content, scientific credibility and ability to create value relationships.
The 2026 edition will see the participation of important representatives of the European institutions, the economic world and the international geopolitical analysis. Among the protagonists: Maroš Šefcovic, European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security; Matthias Petschke, Director General DG TAXUD – European Commission; Silvia Salis, Mayor of Genoa; Brando Benifei, President of the Delegation of the European Parliament for relations with the United States; Carlo Fidanza, Member of the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament; Dario Fabbri, a geopolitical analyst and director of Domino A moderate the work will be Mariangela Pira, journalist and conductor of Sky TG24.
The Forum is organized by ARcom training, a reality committed to developing projects and initiatives dedicated to international trade, compliance, customs law and global economic security. ARcom’s scientific director is lawyer Sara Armella, one of the leading Italian experts in customs and international trade, who designed and developed the Forum with the aim of creating in Italy a stable space of comparison between institutions, enterprises, professionals and stakeholders of the sector.
Sara Armella is also counselor of the Board of Directors of the International Customs Law Academy (ICLA), an international non-profit association that brings together the world’s leading experts of customs law, selected by invitation and through a rigorous selection process. The Academy has a maximum of 100 global members, distinguished by professional experience and scientific production in the field.
For ICLA the entrance takes place exclusively through a rigorous international selection process and there is no possibility of self-candidation. In the course of the Forum will also be announced that the World Customs Law Meeting, the most important international congress dedicated to customs law and international trade organized by ICLA, will take place in 2028 in Genoa, confirming the increasing role of the city as an international point of reference on the issues related to global trade, logistics and portualità.
“We live a historical phase in which international trade is deeply interwoven with the great geopolitical, economic and strategic global balances. The Forum was born with the aim of offering an authoritative place of comparison capable of bringing into dialogue institutions, enterprises, professionals and experts to interpret change and build concrete tools to address it. Today, more than ever, we need vision, skills and ability to create connections,” says Sara Armella, creator of the Forum.
The Forum is born of the conviction that the challenges of international trade can no longer be faced in a sectoral or isolated way. This is why it dialogues European and national institutions, companies, top management, professionals, consultants, academic world, geopolitical experts, economic media and global trade stakeholders, with the aim of creating a place where strategic reading and concrete confrontation can live.
During the previous editions, the Forum has built a significant media and digital amplification capacity, recording more than 100 thousand online views and more than 50 thousand social interactions, as well as the attention of major national media and an international relaunch through institutional circuits. The Forum will also be presented ARGO – Observatory on International Trade, a permanent study centre dedicated to the analysis of transformations affecting global exchanges, focusing on geopolitical scenarios, regulatory developments, commercial policies, sustainability, compliance, customs and economic security, and which aims to make usable and intellectable complex data for companies and professionals in the sector.
Particular attention will also be paid to the new generations through the Alfiere Award of International Trade – Young International Trade Specialist, initiative aimed at under 35 with the aim of creating a concrete link between young talents and the world of international trade, offering opportunities for networking, visibility and connection with enterprises and professionals in the field.
